I’ve got a new iGoogle gadget in the making, its a viewer that works specifically with D-Link cameras. It will hopefully make it a bit easier to view a personal webcam that may be monitoring a home or business.
There may be two seperate versions by the time this is completely finished. One version for IE and one for Firefox, since FF is not compatible with the ActiveX control used to display a live video. Instead, the FF (or anything else that is not IE) version will view a static image that simply refreshes on a timer. Maybe there is some neat way to refresh the image to smooth out the loading.
I’ve already got a project page set up with a simple version of the gadget. So far the name of the project is the d-linkcameraviewer.
