I wonder if the tooth fairy is interested in these teeth
July 8th, 2007 · No Comments
After a long rest the wagon was finally moving again. But then it stopped. Then it went forwards, but not back. Then after some searching, the problem finally revealed itself. A piece of a spider gear from the differential had broken off, likely when I was out exercising the accelerator. So now there’ s a nice a-bit-larger-than-a-quarter-sized hole where the chunk of teeth tried to escape.
The best news in the whole ordeal is, no money was spent in fixing the car today.

Using the Deepfish browser

I finally got an invite into the Microsoft Deepfish technology preview. So far, its all right. Definitely still a beta, but it is functional. Many sites that I’ve tried simply return error messages that seem to point to the lack of javascript support and HTTP POST. Hopefully this will eventually get realeased.

Back from Funfest 2007
June 3rd, 2007 · No Comments
Just got back from the VW hippie-fest in Effingham, IL. Lots of nice cars as usual, some I haven’t seen in past years. It rained a bit on Saturday night, but cleaning up from that wasn’t too bad.
Here are some of the photos of Funfest 2007:
I also met one of the guys who run a Dune Buggy cataloging site, http://www.dunebuggyarchives.com/. Its a lot of work, but a nice resource to have.
